Ann Stratton with award winner Susan Ziders

This year we are pleased to recognize one of our advanced practice providers with the Award for Excellence in Clinical Practice.

The award was created in part to recognize an APP practitioner who demonstrates outstanding clinical practice, provides ongoing education, embodies leadership characteristics, contributes to the growth of the APRN or PA profession, and is an advocate for their colleagues, patients and families. Nine APPs were nominated from a variety of practice areas of the organization.

We are pleased to announce Susan Ziders, NNP-BC, a neonatal nurse practitioner in the Mahoning Valley, as the recipient of this award. Susan’s practice in the NICU truly exemplifies the delineated areas of excellence for advanced practice. Susan is a demonstrated leader in her department and shows great insight into the needs of their rapidly growing team.

She has focused on safety outcomes and led efforts for the Code Pink Committee. Her work has brought research to the bedside, and she continues to be a stellar teacher and mentor.

Ann-StrattonWe congratulate her on the tremendous work she has done to date and look forward to the continued progress of her career!
