CME certificates to be available online

Healthcare professionals who participate in continuing medical education courses at Akron Children’s Hospital will soon be able to print certificates of completion in their office and check their transcripts.

As part of a transition that will take place over the next several months, participants will be completing evaluations online after a course, instead of doing them on paper, so they can claim their credit. They then have the option to print their certificate.

“They no longer have to wait for us to send it to them,” said Katrina Wolford of the hospital’s CME department.

The first time you sign on to this new system, you will need to create a profile and a password. Instructions will be provided at courses for which the program has been activated.

Professionals who have taken CME courses through Akron Children’s in the past may already have a profile created, but will need to add a password now.

The program is available to all professionals who attend CME courses at Akron Children’s. You do not need to be a staff member.

An added bonus of this new service is that you can now check your transcripts and verify how many credits you’ve earned instantly, without having to contact the CME department for assistance.
