While Dr. White is in Europe enjoying a well-deserved vacation, it is my pleasure to present to the medical staff an update on activities for April.  With Dr. White’s term as President of the Medical Staff winding down over this next quarter, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank him for his mentorship during […]

March Notes from the Medical Staff President

This month has seen a shift in my relationship with this role. Many have commented on the limited time I have remaining as president of the medical staff, and I have begun to look forward to having Dr. Pollauf assume this position. December Notes from the Medical Staff President

To the medical staff: As I write this on 12/15/16 it seems pretty clear that winter has arrived in reality if not yet on the calendar. I’m sure that many of you who share my commute from the north to the Akron Campus were caught in the same lake-effect blizzard that I was. I hope […]

October Notes from the Medical Staff President

To the Medical Staff: It was a busy month for the Medical Staff Executive Committee (MSEC) with regard to policy review and approval. This is one of the MSEC’s most important functions. Medical staff policies are to be reviewed every 3 years, so many of these are simply updates to meet that requirement. The following […]
